igottadrive

design of the Hit the Road: Texas, Ohio, and Colorado online courses in WordPress

learning first

When I first started working for igottadrive, a school owned by The Driver Training Group, I was tasked with auditing their courses to evaluate how user-friendly and efficient they were. There were many instances where it was hard to continue through the course due to low functionality from the style quizzes used, poor image quality, incorrectly linked or broken buttons, etc. I started creating a log of all issues and was soon given admin access to make changes myself.

complex ideas

One difficulty I encountered while auditing the courses was the lack of consistency in tone and visuals. Humor was added heavily, even regarding serious lessons regarding organ donation and crash survivability. Many graphics and images were also outdated and pixelated to the point they were incorrect or illegible. I went through and recreated and replaced all graphics and images to ensure cohesive style and correct, easy to interpret information.
